The Product Brief
We took the original concept from Stranger&Stranger and developed the idea into a fully realised production-ready glass pack.
The idea was born from the belief that the rare and elusive spirit of the Isle of Harris could and should be captured in a bottle and shared with the world. The product has done that and more. This bottle is iconic and, still, years after its creation, sparks conversation of its remarkable beauty.
This design benefits from a base spraying treatment which comprises spraying only the base of the bottle with colour, a clever decoration technique which emphasises the product’s most special features.

Step 1
It was important for the maritime elements of the island to be a prominent feature on the bottle which were achieved using ripples in the glass surface which flow around the body. This was a challenge but one we were eager to take on to ensure that brand messaging was translated through the glasswork with efficiency and absolute clarity.

Step 2
The unforgettable shape of the bottle features smooth freeform indents to emulate the weathered island. This is complimented with a reassuring weight and one that is pleasant to hold. These tactile features exhibit a premium, cared-for and hand-crafted product.

The founders family motto, Esse Quam Videri, circles the base. This functions not only as stipple but also reiterates the brand in an attractively aesthetic manner. The base is also finished with a blue spray which radiates up through the glass giving the illusion of colour flowing through the bottle.

A final feature which gives this product premium status is a fluted finish. This ensures the perfect pour without the worry of drips or spills.
